My sister has been recently diagnosed with MS. She is frustrated and can't believe her diagnosis. Should I encourage her getting a second opinion? Has anyone else experienced the same problem and found a solution? Is seeking a second opinion really helpful for MS patients?

Glad hearing it. Good luck!
She got a referral and going to visit a specialist in two weeks. Her insurance copay is 40%.
No insurance pays but it is worth.
Most insurances won't pay a cent for it but it is worth the money.
Is it expensive or invasive? Not sure how to tell her. She is frustrated about the whole diagnostic thing.
Even if the second opinion confirms the first one, it is still beneficial. You want to make sure she is getting the best treatment.
A second opinion is always helpful to validate diagnoses. She could ask her doctor for a recommendation and visit a top doctor.
