
Hi Traxel Family,
My latest episode 15 is now! It talks about the difficulty of disappointment with MS progression and focusing on a positive mindset with simple tools. Again, I like to remind you to process all emotions and "sit" with it. This means to fully acknowledge your feelings without trying to fix it in that moment. Then let it go when you're ready. Self awareness is often an underrated skill and can be very helpful . It's ok to not be "on" with positivity all the time. My main goal is to help you refocus and get back on track when needed.
How do we do that?
Gratitude - enjoy the simple things in life, life is short
Self reflection and awareness with journaling , exercise or being out in nature
Hope and / or Faith - trust the process that everything will be ok
Support - always surround yourself with people who make you feel good
Envision and believe you can live a good life
I often talk about being grateful but with this post , I want to focus on envisioning the future. Neuroplasticity is not just about the physical context of practicing what you want to be able to do , but also what you truly believe. I envision my life with abundance. I see an abundance of love and support and I even envision walking normal. I do this by scheduling things to look forward to every week or month. For example, a lunch with a friend ( even bringing food to my house if needed), a short day trip anywhere or a free music concert whether it's online or in person. It can also be as simple as finally getting dressed and showered because it can be such a chore. The important thing is to write it down and schedule it like you would for a work meeting or anything else. The more you practice this , the easier it gets and you find yourself looking forward to more things.
