When Strength Fades With Activity: Understanding Motor Fatigability in MS

You may start a walk feeling relatively strong, but several minutes later your leg begins to drag. Your grip may feel fine when you first start preparing a meal, then become less reliable as you continue. Or climbing the first few stairs may be manageable, while the next few become noticeably harder.
In Multiple Sclerosis (MS), this can sometimes reflect motor fatigability—a measurable decline in physical performance during continued or repeated activity.
And it isn't exactly the same as muscle weakness or MS fatigue.
Three Similar Experiences—With Important Differences
Muscle weakness means a muscle has reduced strength or cannot generate its usual force.
